CALGARY — Police have laid sexual assault and other charges against a Calgary man after a woman alleged she was held against her will and assaulted over a three-week period.
Police say the woman showed up at a northeast-area business on Wednesday and said she had escaped after being held captive in a nearby house.
Officers went to the home and arrested a 28-year-old man.
Investigators say the accused and the alleged victim are known to each other and had been in a — quote — “domestic partnership” earlier this year.
Troy Jordan Lemke is charged with uttering threats, assault, assault causing bodily harm, sexual assault and forcible confinement.
