CALGARY — A carbon monoxide scare forced about 100 residents of a southeast Calgary condo development from their homes Sunday morning.

Firefighters went door to door making sure everyone got out safely while paramedics checked residents for health concerns.

There were no reports of injuries, though at high concentrations the gas can be deadly.

Fire officials say it turns out that ice and frost had blocked air intake units, causing higher than normal levels of the gas to build up in the hallways.
