Vance Curtis, head coach of the Rocky Mountain House West Central Rebels, received the high school tier IV coach of the year award and Stettler Wildcats Norbert Baharally took home the high school tier III award.

Curtis has been a mainstay with the Rebels for over 35 years. Last season he led the Rebels to the provincials where they downed defending champion Holy Rosary Raiders of Lloydminster in the opening round, before losing to Ardrossan in the North final.

Baharally led the Wildcats to the provincial championship last season with an impressive 55-14 win over Cochrane in the final.
