Chamber orchestra robbed while on tour in Portland, Ore.

Canadian University College Chamber Orchestra had instruments, passports, electronics and cash stolen from its bus while on tour in Portland, Ore., on Monday.

The theft occurred while the musicians were stopped for supper.

Three trumpets and an oboe were taken along with laptops, IDs, and cameras.

With support from the local community, the orchestra borrowed instruments and are determined to finish their remaining performances.

The orchestra began its tour on April 19 and are scheduled to be back on at CUC on May 1.

The musicians are travelling in Alberta, British Columbia, Washington, Oregon and California.
