A man wanted in relation to a Central Alberta crime spree is now facing 43 Criminal Code charges, with more pending.
Lance James Peters, 24, will appear in Red Deer provincial court on Oct. 24.
Peters, considered armed and dangerous after allegedly fleeing Sylvan Lake RCMP last week, was arrested Thursday without incident by Edmonton Police Service. Peters faces charges in several jurisdictions and has other court appearances scheduled across the province.
Some of the charges he faces include nine charges of break and enter and committing an indictable offence; assault with a weapon; six thefts of vehicle; illegal possession of a firearm in a vehicle; two counts of flight from police; four counts of dangerous driving; two robbery charges; three counts of possession of a controlled substance; obstructing a police officer; and five counts of failing to comply with the conditions of a recognizance.
Following a hearing before a justice of the peace in Edmonton on Thursday, Peters will remain in custody.
