Chiefs draw with Storm

Jade Petrie and Rebecca Glackin both scored once and added an assist as the Chiefs jumped into a 2-0 lead in the first period.

Camille Trautman finished with 15 saves for the Chiefs, who held a 50-17 edge in shots on goal.

The Chiefs return to action next weekend when they host Spruce Grove Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and the Calgary Chaos Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Both games are at the Kinsmen B Arena.

Bantam AAA Black split weekend

The Red Deer Rebels Black split a pair of Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League weekend games, doubling the visiting Calgary Royals 6-3 and falling 8-6 at Medicine Hat.

Quinn Brown tallied twice and added two assists, and Dustin Gorgi, Logan Fisher, Carson Jorgensen and Spencer Scott also scored against the Royals. Rebels netminder Brett Frisneth stopped 29 shots.

At Medicine Hat, the Rebels got goals from Jorgenson, Fisher, Jordan Steenbergen, Spencer Yeats, Scott Ferguson and Joel Topping, who also collected three assists. Losing netminder Matt Zentner made 32 saves.
