The Red Deer King’s Energy Chiefs overcame a 4-0 first-period deficit and downed the Viking Gas Kings 8-6 in midget A plus hockey action during the weekend.
The Chiefs scored five unanswered goals in the second period on goals by Kyran Karol, Rylan Gallant, Taylor Packard, Jacob Bottomley and Taylor Sincennes.
Wyatt Weatherall, Jordan Joynes and Tyson Crampain connected for the Chiefs in the third period.
Raffiq Manji picked up the win in goal.
