Child orphaned by crash to leave hospital

An eight-month old girl orphaned in a Christmas Eve car crash will soon be out of hospital.

EDMONTON — An eight-month old girl orphaned in a Christmas Eve car crash will soon be out of hospital.

Aleera Logozar survived the head-on collision that killed her parents and an aunt near Vegreville close to midnight on Dec. 24.

Aleera was airlifted to hospital in Edmonton and treated for broken legs, broken arm, and collarbone.

RCMP say the driver of the family car lost control around a bend and hit a pickup truck; the pickup driver was not injured.

The victims in the have been identified as 20-year-old Michelle Driedger, her 22-year-old fiance Isacc Logozar and his 20-year-old sister Cassandra Logozar, all from Foisy, Alta.

Isacc’s father, Darrell Logozar, says they’re now prepared to look after the little girl.
