Red Deer’s Matt Codd tied for 11th in the Future Collegians World Tour event at the Arizona State University course during the weekend.
The 16-year-old Codd had rounds of 78-70 for a 148 total, seven strokes back of the winner.
It was his first U.S. event against 57 of the top 16-18 year-old players in the U.S. and Canada. The tournaments are a chance for young athletes to show their talents off to college and university coaches in the U.S.
There were eight Canadians in the group.
