Colin Fraser bringing Stanley Cup to Sylvan Lake

Three-time Stanley Cup winner Colin Fraser is bringing the cup back to Sylvan Lake during the final day of the town’s jazz festival on Sunday.Fraser will arrive with the cup between 12:30 and 1 p.m. at the Sylvan Lake Lions Park at 5012 48 Ave. He will give a brief speech at 1 p.m.

Three-time Stanley Cup winner Colin Fraser is bringing the cup back to Sylvan Lake during the final day of the town’s jazz festival on Sunday.

Fraser will arrive with the cup between 12:30 and 1 p.m. at the Sylvan Lake Lions Park at 5012 48 Ave. He will give a brief speech at 1 p.m.

Photos with the cup are available from 1:15 to 2:30 p.m. for a minimum donation of $5 to the future Sylvan Lake NextSource Centre.

Fraser won Stanley Cup sith the Los Angeles Kings in 2012 and 2014 and with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2010.

A community block party with Central Alberta bands will fill the town with music from 1 to 4 p.m. at the park gazebo.

Admission is free. In the event of rain, the events will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion at 4916-50th Ave.
