Red Deer Mayor Morris Flewwelling will do a proclamation at 10:30 a.m. Aboriginal organizations will have booths as well as a tipi set up, plus face painting and other activities.

Red Deer Aboriginal Employment Services will host an open house on Wednesday and Red Deer Native Friendship Centre will host one on Thursday. Red Deer Aboriginal Employment Services will host a free family dance at the Golden Circle from 7 to 11 p.m. on Friday with deejay Mike.

National Aboriginal Awareness Week runs through the week.
