A judge has found a former Edmonton police constable guilty of driving through a red light just prior to a fiery two-vehicle crash that seriously injured a young man.
Douglas Curtis Brown, 30, was convicted of four counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
Provincial court Judge Michael Allen says evidence proved beyond a reasonable doubt that the accused was travelling faster than 70 km/h at the time of the collision and that he ran the light.
A sentencing hearing is scheduled for the end of July.
