PORTAGE LA PRAIRIE, Man. — It could prove to be a costly mistake for two people who were in a car pulled over for a traffic violation by Manitoba police.
RCMP in Portage la Prairie say they found $100,000 hidden in the vehicle when they stopped it on the Trans-Canada Highway.
Two men from Alberta are charged with possession of the proceeds of crime.
They were released on a surety and are to appear in provincial court in Portage la Prairie on May 17.
