Cougars roar in bantam final

Morgan Loshny scored Stettler’s second touchdown on a 21-yard run late in the first half and Braden Nelson added an insurance major on a 49-yard run. Nicholas Baharally added a convert.

Carter Waldbauer, on a one-yard plunge, and Judah Knip, with the convert, accounted for the Raiders’ points.

The Cougars will host the St. Albert Fury in a provincial tier 2 semifinal on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Olds Bulldogs downed the Notre Dame Cougars 33-0 in the consolation final and will compete in the Tier III provincial playoffs.

Travis Layden scored a pair of touchdowns for the Bulldogs with Brodie Kilpatrick, Nate Cross and Reuger Dye adding one each. Quade Schmidt had four converts.

Olds will host the Lloydminster Mustangs Wednesday.

In Tier IV playoff action, the Wetaskiwin Warriors downed the Strathmore Spartans 56-15 and play the Fort McMurray Ravens at Clarke Stadium in Edmonton Saturday.
