From heartfelt ballads to toe-tapping Cajun music, Alberta singer Crystal Plamondon will put on an eclectic show Saturday at Fratter’s Speakeasy in Red Deer.

The performer hails from Plamondon, a Northern Alberta village founded by her Franco-American great-grandfather in 1908.

The bilingual singer/songwriter has had a 20-year career, delivering passionate concerts that feature everything from plaintive ballads to rock, country, roots and Cajun music.

Plamondon has become known for her warmth and wit on stage, and her great rapport with the audience.
