Non-profit arts and cultural organizations in Red Deer are invited to seek dollars for 2012.

The City of Red Deer’s Culture section is accepting Fee for Service applications until Friday, Dec. 2, at 4:30 p.m.

This program allows these groups to build their capacity to provide a service, to manage an arts or cultural facility, to act as an umbrella organization for arts or cultural organizations, or to encourage those groups and organizations that are developing new programming services for arts and culture.

A board resolution supporting the application must be included with the application so organizations are reminded to make the appropriate resolution at their November board meetings, if they haven’t already done so.

The Red Deer and District Community Foundation will review and adjudicate the applications.

Eligibility information and application forms may be downloaded at www.reddeer.ca/culture by clicking on the “Fee for Service Program” tab. They may also be picked up at the Culture Services Centre located at 3827 39th St.

Hours of operation are between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. The centre is closed from noon to 1 p.m. daily.

Applications must be delivered to the Culture Services Centre. The deadline is strictly adhered to and incomplete applications won’t be accepted.

Prior to the deadline, organizations are encouraged to contact acting culture superintendent Wendy Meeres at 403-309-2637 to discuss their eligibility.
