CALGARY — A Calgary toddler has been killed during a violent wind storm that swept through the city on Saturday.
A news release from the City of Calgary says during the storm a six metre piece of metal fell from an 18 story building under construction and fell on a group of people below.
The little girl was fatally injured and two others, a seven-year-old boy and an male in his late 30’s, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The violent winds dislodged the roofing material from the building.
One witness described the winds as being like a hurricane.
