Divers to seek clues

NOJACK — RCMP have wrapped up their ground search of a rural property in northern Alberta for clues in the disappearance of a missing elderly couple, but say divers will return there later this week to search a small body of water.

Police began their search of the property near Nojack, 140 kilometres west of Edmonton, late last week.

Sgt. Tim Taniguchi won’t say if officers found anything relevant to the case of Lyle and Marie McCann.

He also refused to comment on claims by neighbours that the property is owned by a friend of Travis Vader.

Vader is the only suspect in the McCann disappearance.

The couple haven’t been seen since they left their home in St. Albert, near Edmonton, to go on a camping trip and visit family in B.C. over two months ago.
