Jim Swan appears to be is a very sad and angry man who needs to learn some compassion.

I’m not a Christian but my understanding of Jesus has always been that you should love your fellow man and accept people as they are. If you want to base your life on a 2,000-year-old book, be my guest. But how dare you try to dictate how I live mine?

I feel for any gay young people who may have read Swan’s letter and believe it to be true. You are not sick. You are not wrong, There is nothing wrong with you.

I was where you are once, listening to adults tell me God hated me. They were wrong, as is Swan.

Matthew 7: 1-3 says: “Do not judge or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?”

Swan should read the whole Bible before he starts quoting.
