Red Deer City RCMP responded to a complaint around 2:14 a.m. at the nightclub on 48th Street in downtown Red Deer.

RCMP say the victim was with two other men standing at a table near the dance floor. Another group of men were not far away when a dispute resulted in the victim being stabbed in the torso. The victim and his friends left the bar and went to the hospital.
