Drunk driving trial set

Trial dates have been set early in 2013 for a Sylvan Lake driver accused of striking a pedestrian and then leaving the scene in Red Deer earlier this year.Kyle Brian Carver, 18, is charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm, leaving the scene of a collision in which someone suffered bodily harm and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.

Trial dates have been set early in 2013 for a Sylvan Lake driver accused of striking a pedestrian and then leaving the scene in Red Deer earlier this year.

Kyle Brian Carver, 18, is charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm, leaving the scene of a collision in which someone suffered bodily harm and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.

Carver was arrested and charged by Sylvan Lake RCMP following reports that a pickup truck struck a Sylvan Lake woman while she was walking in downtown Red Deer at about 3 a.m. on March 17.

The woman was airlifted to hospital in Edmonton with serious injuries.

Carver has pleaded not guilty and ordered to stand trial in Red Deer next Feb. 21 and 22.
