Gwynne Dyer is my favourite journalist and I thank the Advocate for carrying his articles.
On Saturday, Oct. 20, his topic was the 50th anniversary of the Cuban Missile Crisis. How well I remember the tension and fear we all felt at that time in 1962.
Now Dyer tells us how much worse it might have been as he gives us new facts recently revealed. Our world could have been totally destroyed.
If you did not read Dyer’s column, please do so. It should be required reading for everyone in the world and all of us should work hard to have nuclear weapons abolished forever.
