Some Eckville workers learned just how great it is to be part of a lottery team.
A crew of 44 employees in Eckville won $100,124 on EXTRA! or about $2,275 each.
Glenn Hunt gave the good news to his co-workers after finding out the WESTERN 649 ticket with EXTRA ticket was a winner. He bought the ticket at Forhan’s Pharmacy located at 5019-50th St. in Eckville.
“I started checking the numbers,” said Hunt. “I matched the first, then the second, and then the third and so on. I thought, ‘Holy cow, I have a winner!’”
Hunt said he was shocked and happy, and of course the rest of the employees are happy too.

Workers have different ideas for what they’re going to do with their cash.
“Many talked about paying bills and using the money for trips,” said Hunt. “One talked about putting a down payment on a house.”
