GRANDIN, N.D. — A father and daughter from Edmonton are dead after a head-on collision involving a minivan and a semitrailer on Interstate 29 north of Fargo, North Dakota.
The Highway Patrol did not immediately identify the 43-year-old man and his 11-year-old daughter.
Authorities say the man was driving the minivan, which crossed the median about 40 kilometres north of Fargo about 8 a.m. Tuesday and collided head-on with the semi.
The man’s 43-year-old wife was flown to a Fargo hospital with what was described as serious injuries.
The 61-year-old semi driver was not hurt.
