Edmonton taekwondo instructor found guilty of sex assaults on female students

An Edmonton taekwondo instructor has been found guilty of 13 of 17 sex charges laid following complaints from nine of his former female students.

EDMONTON — An Edmonton taekwondo instructor has been found guilty of 13 of 17 sex charges laid following complaints from nine of his former female students.

A jury found 52-year-old Thomas Innerebner guilty of sexual assault and touching children under 14 for a sexual purpose.

Some of the students were as young as seven at the time of the assaults.

Innerebner is currently free on bail, but the prosecutor is attempting to have his bail revoked.

Innerebner denied during his testimony that he ever assaulted or touched any of his students inappropriately.

A sentencing hearing is scheduled for January 11th.
