The City of Red Deer is accepting applications for election workers to help with both election day and the advance polls prior to voting day.

Workers are needed to help set up and take down voting stations and supervise the voting process on Oct. 21. Workers must complete online training and attend a mandatory in-person training session on either Oct. 16 or Oct. 17.

Pay varies based on the position, which include presiding deputy returning officer, deputy returning officer and ballot clerk.

People can apply online at www.reddeer.ca/reddeervotes or in person at the election office, in the lower level of City Hall. Applications must be submitted by Monday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
