Employee accused of pocketing $20K

A former Sears Canada employee in southern Alberta has been accused of faking dozens of merchandise returns and pocketing $20,000 worth of refunds.

LETHBRIDGE — A former Sears Canada employee in southern Alberta has been accused of faking dozens of merchandise returns and pocketing $20,000 worth of refunds.

Francisca Carmen Toledo, 55, is charged with 88 counts of fraud under $5,000, 56 counts of forging a document and 56 counts of using a forged document.

Toledo is to appear in court April 13.
