Facebook site supporting Red Deer man accused in baby death taken down

A Facebook page supporting a central Alberta man charged in the death of his four-month-old daughter is no longer online.

RED DEER — A Facebook page supporting a central Alberta man charged in the death of his four-month-old daughter is no longer online.

A site called “In Support of Julian Thomson” had 61 members Wednesday, but is now gone.

Thomson was charged with second-degree murder after his daughter Zaria McCall died of undisclosed head injuries last month.

It’s unclear whether Facebook officials shut the site down or if it was removed by its creator.

Faron Weiss, a friend of the child’s mother, brought attention to the posting and thanks everyone who opposed it.
