Two young men who in a drunken state robbed a couple of young teens were both sentenced to federal jail terms on Wednesday.

Christopher Tyler Robb and Shea Allen, both 22 and from Red Deer, were sentenced to 28 months in jail each when they pleaded guilty to several charges on Wednesday in provincial court.

The incident occurred on Sept. 11 when the accused disguised themselves and were armed with a knife and an imitation air gun respectively.

In addition to the robbery charge, both pleaded guilty to assault with a weapon, disguised with intent and uttering death threats. Robb also pleaded guilty to assaulting a peace officer.

Both were credited with spending two months in custody awaiting disposition of their case and will serve another 26 months each.
