Here’s a closer chance to see the western-themed works of a Red Deer photographer, whose fine art photos will be shown at the Calgary Stampede.

Michele King’s digital images of horses and the western lifestyle will be shown in the Corridor Gallery, downstairs at the Red Deer Recreation Centre. The solo show runs from today to Aug. 31.

King had four images accepted into the Calgary Stampede Western Photo Gallery Salon and Sale.

And one of her pictures was also selected by Visual Arts Alberta to be part of a show of 33 images that were chosen out of 300 submitted by 70 photographers. It will be displayed in galleries at the Edmonton and Calgary Jubilee Auditoriums this fall.

King runs Michele King Photography, Gallery Equus and The Barbed Wire Studio.
