CALGARY — Fire has forced nearly 300 people out of a Calgary homeless shelter.

CALGARY — Fire has forced nearly 300 people out of a Calgary homeless shelter.

The fire started in a laundry room early this morning at the Mustard Seed.

Officials say clothing in a dryer caught fire.

Although the flames were quickly extinguished, the evacuees boarded Calgary transit buses and were taken to another facility.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
