A mid-morning fire in the Chiles Industrial Area on Wednesday is now under control.
Just after 9 a.m., local emergency services crews were dispatched to a structure fire at Diversified Glycol Services in the industrial park north of Red Deer and east of Hwy 2A. An hour and a half later, crews had the blaze under control and were working to fully extinguish the fire.
The structure sustained significant damage; the cause of the fire is not yet known.
Some businesses north of Diversified Glycol Services were evacuated as a precaution. No injuries have been reported.
