Pianist Vernon Murgatroyd accompanies soprano Joyce Emms in performing Je dis que rien ne m’epouvante from Georges Bizet’s opera Carmen in the Red Deer Public Library’s Snell Auditorium on Thursday. About 50 people took in the noon-hour concert that’s part of the library’s First Thursdays in the Snell series. The next performance is Thursday, Sept. 3, when Cheryl Cooney and Sharon Braun sing cabaret numbers.
