Fluoridation in the pediatric population

There has been a lot of interest in the fluoride issue in the papers, in council and in Fluoride Cafes.

There has been a lot of interest in the fluoride issue in the papers, in council and in Fluoride Cafes.

Parents and individuals with an interest in the subject can obtain an unbiased, research-based article at the Canadian Pediatric Society’s web page. Go to www.cps.ca, click on Position Statements, then click on Nutrition & Gastroenterology and then click on N02-O1 The Use of Fluoride in Infants and Children. There is also an excellent parent handout called Healthy Teeth For Children.

The information in these articles is well researched and clearly portrayed.

The position statement as printed is to be revised and updated later this year.
