CALGARY — Flying debris is again causing problems at a downtown Calgary construction site.
The fire crew’s High Angle Rescue Team was called to a highrise under construction on Tuesday after a large section of temporary decking partially collapsed.
A section fell to the ground, but no one was hurt.
Pedestrian and vehicle traffic was detoured while fire crews secured the site.
Calgary has had a number of instances where debris has fallen from buildings under construction.
The most serious incident claimed the life of a three-year-old girl in 2009 when some metal sheeting dropped on her from a building near the Calgary Tower.
