A former Edmonton real estate agent has been found guilty of sexually assaulting, robbing and threatening three women working as prostitutes.

EDMONTON — A former Edmonton real estate agent has been found guilty of sexually assaulting, robbing and threatening three women working as prostitutes.

Oldin Maldonado, who is 29, was found guilty Friday of all charges stemming from violent encounters reported by the women in 2009.

Maldonado was charged in June 2009 with two counts of sexual assault causing bodily harm, three counts of unlawful confinement, and one count each of sexual assault, robbery, and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.

Police began investigating Maldonado after a violent assault was reported in April 2009 and two in May 2009.

In all three cases, the women were picked up in the area of 118 Avenue, and then taken to other places in Edmonton.

Maldonado is in custody and is to be sentenced on Feb. 10.
