Former radio personality in B.C., Alberta convicted for child porn

A former radio personality who has worked in B.C. and Alberta has pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography and has been sentenced to nine months in jail.

KELOWNA, B.C. — A former radio personality who has worked in B.C. and Alberta has pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography and has been sentenced to nine months in jail.

Forty-seven-year-old Darren Mitchell Robertson was arrested following an international investigation that began in July 2006 in Australia, Belgium, Italy and Canada.

Most recently, he worked at Calgary radio station QR77, though his lawyer says he is no longer there.
