MEDICINE HAT — A former school vice-principal in southern Alberta has pleaded not guilty to offences related to child pornography.

MEDICINE HAT — A former school vice-principal in southern Alberta has pleaded not guilty to offences related to child pornography.

Gregory Fritzke, who is 44, wasn’t in court in Medicine Hat when his defence lawyer entered the plea on his behalf.

Fritzke, who was the vice-principal at Ross Glen Elementary School, was charged in January 2009 with accessing and possessing child pornography.

The arrest during a larger investigation that involved the National Child Exploitation Co-ordination Centre in Ottawa and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

The case is expected to be back in court May 27 when a trial date is to be set.
