A free open house is taking place today to raise support for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Red Deer and District.

Hosted by Chocolates by Bernard Callebaut Red Deer and Landmark Homes, the open house is an event to usher in the holidays and support local businesswoman BJ Tumanut, who will be participating in the third annual Sheraton Celebrity Dance Off to raise funds for Big Brothers, Big Sisters.

Tumanut is one of eight dancers who will kick up their heels on April 4 with all proceeds going towards the non-profit’s Camp Alexo capital projects. The open house will feature steaming Bernard Callebaut hot chocolate served with a buffet of toppings, homemade chocolate chip cookies, snacks, games, prizes, auction items, coupons and music.

There is no admission charge but guests are encouraged to make a donation. The open house runs from 5 to 7 p.m. at 100 Timberstone Way.
