MUNDARE — An autopsy is pending on the body of a man found frozen at the side of a road in eastern Alberta.
RCMP say the body was discovered by a person who was passing through the area about 10 kilometres south of Mundare.
The autopsy won’t go ahead until the body returns to room temperature.
Police say evidence has been collected at the scene.
An investigation is underway involving local RCMP, members from two major crime units, a forensic identification team and the police dog service.
The case is being treated as suspicious, which is normal for all unexplained deaths.
