So Brent crude oil prices are down to $97 a barrel and West Texas oil has fallen to $83 a barrel. Yet gasoline prices keep climbing.
If this isn’t consumer gouging and price fixing then I don’t know what is. So where the heck is Stephen Harper, the provincial premiers and their respective political parties when it comes to protecting the consumer against these greed-based increases?
Oh sorry, I forgot. Their concern is the profit margins of the oil companies and the refineries. Geez, what was I thinking?
By rights, gasoline prices should be around 90 cents to $1 per litre all across Canada. This is based on past gasoline prices in relation to past oil prices.
