The Red Deer Gord’s First Line Sports RUSA team struck gold in the U19A division at the Red Deer Friends on Ice ringette tournament during the weekend.
They downed Calgary 5-4 in the final after losing 7-4 to the Calgary North Legacy, tying St. Albert Havoc 5-5 and beating the Edmonton Elan 2-1 in pool play.
