Six Central Alberta future leaders have received a financial boost to help make a difference in the world.

Six Central Alberta future leaders have received a financial boost to help make a difference in the world.

The annual Servus Young and Free Scholarship program awarded 30 students in Alberta a $1,000 scholarship to help with their educational pursuits.

Students were required to submit a video or essay explaining how they will help someone overcome a challenge facing their generation today.

The local recipients are Breanna Mielke of Innisfail, Chelsea Colton of Lacombe, Sander Lekas and Annika Palm of Rimbey, Krista Huseby of Rocky Mountain House and Kari Konynenbelt of Three Hills.
