Grizzlys beat Camrose in OT

OLDS — Dustin Gorgi scored a power-play goal at 1:30 of overtime to lift the Olds Grizzlys to a 3-2 Alberta Junior Hockey League victory over the Camrose Kodiaks Tuesday.

Kyle Star and Spencer Dorowicz also tallied for the Grizzlys, who led 1-0 after one period and were tied 1-1 heading into the third. Scott Ferguson and Trevor Costello replied for the Kodiaks before 347 fans at the Sportsplex.

Jake Tamagi earned the win in the Olds net, making 21 saves. Devin McDonald blocked shots for Camrose.

Olds returns to action Thursday against the host Calgary Canucks, then takes on the Thunder Saturday at Drayton Valley. The Grizzlys’ next home game is next Tuesday against the Okotoks Oilers.
