Grizzlys beat Oilers for lead in semi

A second-period power-play goal by Dylan Hubbs was the winner as the Olds Grizzlys edged the Okotoks Oilers 3-2 Wednesday to take a 2-0 lead in their AJHL South Division semifinal.

OKOTOKS — A second-period power-play goal by Dylan Hubbs was the winner as the Olds Grizzlys edged the Okotoks Oilers 3-2 Wednesday to take a 2-0 lead in their AJHL South Division semifinal.

Brandon Clowes had a goal and an assist for the Grizzlys, whose other marker came off the stick of Casey Rogers. Tyler Krause and Connor Collett scored for the Oilers.

Olds netminder Jesse Ehnisz turned aside 27 shots. Michael Tadjdeh made 28 saves for Okotoks.

The third and fourth games of the best-of-seven series will be played Friday and Saturday at Olds.
