RCMP say a gun was fired at a school on a Saskatchewan reserve but no one was injured.

LA RONGE — RCMP say a gun was fired at a school on a Saskatchewan reserve but no one was injured.

La Ronge officers were called to Senator Myles Venne School on the Far Reserve after a fight between two youth resulted in one of them leaving the school and returning with a firearm.

Police say the gun was discharged several times into the ground.

The school was on partial lock down for a brief amount of time but was reopened after a youth was taken into custody.

The accused will appear in court on Thursday.
