A Halloween party near Rocky Mountain House ended badly with one man airlifted to Calgary by STARS after a head injury in a fight near midnight Saturday.

A Halloween party near Rocky Mountain House ended badly with one man airlifted to Calgary by STARS after a head injury in a fight near midnight Saturday.

A 24-year-old man from the Dovercourt area was knocked unconscious in a fight that erupted at a Halloween dance at the Dovercourt Hall east of Rocky Mountain House. He was transported to Calgary by STARS. He underwent emergency surgery to relieve swelling on the brain and remains in intensive care in a Calgary hospital.

Jesse Radau, 20, of Caroline has been charged with aggravated assault and has been released to appear in Rocky Mountain House court Nov. 16 at 10 a.m.
