A preliminary hearing was set on Thursday for a Stettler man charged with impaired driving causing death in connection with a crash near Erskine.

Stettler RCMP allege a pickup truck travelling on a gravel road hit the ditch and crashed into some trees on Feb. 11. Passenger Koralea Boettger, 17, died at the scene.

Trevor James Dahl, 20, will be in court for a preliminary hearing in Stettler on Feb. 26.

He was charged with impaired driving causing death, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and refusing to provide a breath sample after a fatal collision.

Dahl was released from custody on March 7.
