Helicopter forced to make emergency landing near Burnt Lake Trail

A small mechanical problem with an aircraft belonging to Mustang Helicopters forced the pilot to make a hard emergency landing in a field on the north side of the Burnt Lake Trail about 10 km west of Red Deer, late Saturday afternoon. Following standard procedure the pilot was taken to hospital for observation. The aircraft was intact and after some repairs was scheduled to take off Sunday afternoon.
