Although the water in Gull lake is higher than normal the beach at Aspen Beach Recreation Area and the Ebeling Day Use Area still has plenty of room for fun in the sand. The water level has reached the playground equipment on the beach but there is still plenty of room to spread a towel and enjoy the sand. At Sylvan Lake, on the other hand, the water level has all but swallowed up the sand along Lakeshore Drive.
